I'm what some would describe as a podcast whore. My podcasting addiction began with the Thinking Atheist podcast. While searching for additional shows to listen to I stumbled across the highly rated SGU podcast. I became immediately hooked. The SGU has provided the skeptical tools I now use every day. I live in a state where skepticism is rarely used and can sometimes be perceived as a "dirty word". The state I speak of is the ever so illogical and religious Mississippi. I am female at the age of 26, an out atheist and skeptic in a community of peers that hold extreme opposite world views. Listening to podcasts and adminning an atheist facebook page are some of the lighthouses in the ocean of dissimilar minds.
