I am a freelancer with a bachelor's in environmental science. I was introduced to the Skeptic community via MonsterTalk - that podcast blew my mind; I've always been fascinated by pseudoscientific endeavours such as cryptozoology and ufology, even though I never believed that they actually existed. The hosts interviewed a number of skeptical researchers and from there I developed an interest in many other common topics in the skeptic community. SGU has been a favorite of mine for years because it blends my weird fascination with pseudoscience (especially in nutrition and health care) with my broad interests in science (while keeping the language at a level I can understand).
